• Improving the quality of products and services available in Rockhampton
• Linking closely with other organisations
• Expanding services in Rockhampton
• Increasing visitor numbers, length of stay and visitor expenditure
• Expanding the conference and exhibition market
• Attracting national, state and regional sporting titles to Rockhampton
• Creation of growth in events
• Provision of community assistance to event and sporting bodies and community groups
• Operation of a Tourist and Business Information Centre
• Identifying tourism to Rockhampton businesses and residents as a growth industry
• Investigating new international markets for charter flights
• Maximising the presence of the defence forces and Shoalwater Bay
• Encouraging product development
